![]() "Destiny 2 expansions (ex: Forsaken, Shadowkeep) do not transfer between platforms with Cross Save. It has one of the best crossplay / crossave of Stadia. It can be very useful for Gambit, Crucible, seasons, daily, etc. You can play on Steam and unlock everything there and then play seasonal events and use gear unlocked on Stadia (as long as it doesn't require you to have expansions). It also sees to charge for the Destiny 2 Base Game, but not for the Shadowkeep DLC.Īlso, on the Shadowkeep DLC page it notes that:ĭestiny 2: Shadowkeep does not require ownership of any previous Destiny 2 expansions to purchase or play.Destiny 2 links characters and seasons to your Bungie account, expansions are not linked to your cross-save game account. The strange thing is that this edition/bundle charges for the Destiny 2 Base Game, which is supposedly F2P, but it does not seem to charge for the Shadowkeep DLC. The Forsaken can be bought solo, or as a part of the "Upgrade Edition", which also contains the new Shadowkeep DLC, (though I don't know if it contains the Season of Dawn). Though I can't see if the Curse of Osiris and Warmind DLC are included with the base game now? It seems that the base game is now F2P which is straight forward enough. Now I want to play again but am not sure which "edition" of the game to buy. I have the the base Destiny 2 game, but have never bought any DLC, even before the Forsaken expansion came out on.
